When the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, MN, becomes your backdrop, you know the day is going to be nothing short of spectacular. On August 31, 2024, Austin and Peyton celebrated their love story in a romantic wedding surrounded by lush greenery and loved ones. It was a magical day full of heartfelt moments, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
The Ceremony
The couple said “I do” in the picturesque Wilson Rose Garden. As guests arrived to the serene sounds of newer love songs, anticipation filled the air. Peyton made her grand entrance to I Knew This Would Be Love by Imaginary Future, setting the perfect tone for a ceremony officiated by Judge Tom Armstrong. Despite the outdoor setting, a backup indoor plan was in place to ensure everything ran smoothly regardless of the weather.
The Reception: A Celebration to Remember
Once the vows were exchanged, it was time to party! Guests enjoyed cocktails on the Snyder Building front terrace while the photo booth, hosted by Pro Sound & Light Show, opened for some lighthearted fun. The evening’s dinner, catered by CRAVE Catering, offered a delectable buffet, complemented by a heartfelt welcome speech from the couple.
The couple’s first dance to Neil Young’s Harvest Moon was an intimate highlight, followed by special dances with their parents. Peyton and her father, Steven, shared a touching moment to Paul Simon’s Father and Daughter, while Austin and his mother, Cyndi, danced to You’ve Got a Friend in Me by Randy Newman and Lyle Lovett.
The dance floor came alive as DJ Aaron Abramson kept the energy high throughout the night. The bouquet and garter tosses—set to Man! I Feel Like a Woman and Pony—added a playful vibe, and an anniversary dance brought everyone together to Through the Years by Kenny Rogers.
Personal Touches
The day was filled with unique and personal touches, like a special dance dedicated to Kathie & the late John Hirt to Randy Travis’ Forever and Ever, Amen. The quiet, private cake cutting ensured an uninterrupted flow of the evening's festivities, with photos captured by the talented Menique Koos Photography.
